Role Training – doing better in the moment May 2025

This standalone weekend training workshop is suitable for anyone in counselling, psychology, teaching, training, psychotherapy, coaching, or anyone who works in a practice that helps others to develop a progressive and satisfying life.
A weekend standalone training workshop run by visiting trainer, Chris Hosking. Role training is an effort to help us perform adequately in future situations. It is a method of learning that aims to bring about a rise in the spontaneity level of an individual and combine this with practice of a new expression. This method focuses on specific aspects of our functioning and the development of progressive roles that will lead to increased satisfaction in our personal and professional lives. In this workshop we will review in detail the steps in the role training method, practice the conduct of a session and experience being a protagonist. The learning will be experiential and participants can expect to be actively involved in all aspects of this group method. This learning will strengthen your ability to act with relevance, vitality, and thoughtfulness as well as to act in line with our own values. The process of role training involves enactment, reflection, assessment, experimentation and practice. There will be teaching, coaching, supervision and active involvement as you take steps in learning this method.
Role training is widely pertinent to leading groups, as well as to expanding your capacities in one-to-one work of counselling, supervision, coaching and mentoring or any practice that involves the development of a progressive and satisfying life. If you are new to psychodrama, have not trained with us before or are returning after a long break from training, please contact us for a training conversation prior to enrolling to ensure you have the psychodrama experience needed to enter a training programme and our training programme will be a good match for you.
