Description
This workshop is elective in the Christchurch Institute for Training in Psychodrama programme for both groups and open to trainees from other regions.
The focus of this workshop is to learn to confidently apply psychodramatic theory and practice in the consulting room setting familiar to counsellors and psychotherapists.
Moreanian concepts, principles and techniques form a cohesive whole that can form the basis of a psychodramatic therapy practice. We will explore how some of the following concepts are applied when working with individuals, couples and families:
- The “five instruments”: Director, stage, audience, protagonist and auxiliary
- Role theory
- Social and cultural atom
- Tele
- The Canon of Creativity: Cultural conserve, warm-up, spontaneity and creativity
In the workshop we will consider some of Moreno’s principles and ideas and practice using psychodramatic techniques with individuals, couples and families.

Trainees enrolled in full year’s training in any other AANZPA Institute = $260.
A deposit of $50 must accompany enrolments; this is fully refundable if you do not proceed to training.
