Introduction to Psychodrama series 2 – Role Training
This one day training workshop will serve as an introduction to role training with a focus on key areas of theory and practice.
3 May: Role Training Workshop.
Role training focuses on specific aspects of our functioning and the development of progressive roles that will lead to increased satisfaction in our personal and professional lives. It is an application of the psychodrama method that is widely pertinent to leading groups, as well as to expanding our capacities in one-to-one work of counselling, supervision and mentoring.
The process of role training involves enactment, reflection, assessment, experimentation and practice. There will be teaching and active involvement as you are introduced to this method.
The psychodrama method is taught experientially. This means that the training is highly interactive, involving you with working with yourself, your life, the life of others and the development of the group.
This method of teaching provides a form of deep learning that grounds the learning in your identity not just a series of ideas. You will gain from this training workshop if you are looking for an introduction to role training or a refresher of the fundamental principles of this application of the psychodrama method.
