Starts 16-17th February 2019   :   A year-long multi-level programme to build your experience and practice of the psychodrama method every day in your chosen profession, work, in your community, in your relationships and in play. This will be achieved through supervised experiential learning of group development and psychodrama, sociodrama, sociometry, role training. We will extend your imagination in using different forms of psychodrama in many settings. Trainees will participate in group interactions and dramatic enactments as audience, protagonist, auxiliary and director. We will focus on group work and sociometry in the morning and dramatic enactment in the afternoon. There will be a teaching segment in each day and reflective practice based on the application of role theory, spontaneity theory and systems theory. You will receive group supervision on your application of the method using the real-life situations you face daily in your life and work. You will expand and deepen your understanding of :

  • The group as a dynamic system
  • Group process in terms of central concerns
  • Different schools of thought and theories concerning the behaviour of individuals in groups
  • Identify stage of development of a group
  • Warm up a group to relevant aspects of living and dramatic enactment
  • Establish and maintain cohesion and trust in a group and develop and climate conducive to new learning
