The Christchurch Institute for Training in Psychodrama

The Christchurch Institute for Training in Psychodrama is an ANZPA accredited Training Institute providing training which leads to certification as a Psychodrama Director, Sociodrama Director, Sociometrist, or Role Trainer. The programme is conducted in accordance with the standards established by the Board of Examiners of the Australian and New Zealand Psychodrama Association Inc (ANZPA).

The CITP is an Educational Trust, registered with the Charities Commission, and is operated by a Management Committee in liaison with a Board of Trustees. The Trustees are: Charlotte Daellenbach (chair), Simon Gurnsey (Secretary/Treasurer), Annette Currie, Grant Walker and Gwen Reekie.

Training has been provided by the CITP, in both Christchurch and Dunedin, since it was established in 1986. All courses are open to those who wish to develop their professional abilities without necessarily becoming certificated practitioners.

Please note: As this training is experientially based, strong feelings may emerge and it is possible that difficult personal matters come to fuller awareness. Trainees are expected to take responsibility for self-care, which may include accessing their own therapist or supervisor. If you are experiencing a difficulty or personal crisis please ensure your trainer is aware of this.

In the CITP section is:

Other Psychodrama Workshops

Other Psychodrama Workshops are for those interested in personal development or training workshops using psychodrama, sociodrama, sociometry or role training.

These psychodrama workshops are run by individual ANZPA members and are not part of the CITP training programme.

The Institute may be contracted to design and deliver short specialised courses to suit the particular purposes of an organisation - community, health, education or business.
