Description

This workshop is part of the ongoing training in Dunedin, other trainees, AANZPA Practitioners and those interested in professional development are welcome to enrol.

This two-day workshop will engage you, the supervisor, in focusing on your practice in the area of supporting your supervisees where there are ethical considerations.

Sometimes we find ourselves presented with a supervisee situation where there are clear ethical edges and our work as supervisors is involved with drawing attention to these, assessing the level of awareness and supporting decision-making that takes these things into account. At other times we might find ourselves hearing from a supervisee that they have received a complaint and we are involved in supporting them as they make an adequate response to the regulatory body or professional association concerned.

We will explore the territory of forming a question that captures an ethical dilemma so that we are better able to see the specific concerns present in what are often complex and multifaceted situations.

This workshop will be practical and experiential. It will assist you to understand and develop your roles as supervisor in the area of supporting ethical practice.
